The Lollipop Theory, a feeling we all know and have all experienced at one time or another:
Have you ever wanted someone that you know you will never get, no matter what you do, or how hard you try? Because she/he are too amazing, too beautiful, too unbelievable for you, a normal person, with nothing special and no way to even catch their eye, the person you can only dream of being with?
You're nodding right now.
Everytime you see them, or hear them, or even think of them, your heart beats faster, you lose all previous intention and as confident as you were you start to feel a little nervous or dizzy.
Yup, there's their name, in your head.
This is what I have called "The Lollipop Theory", that often in life you will want something more than anything in the whole entire world, but no matter what you do, it seems as though it will never happen, not like in the movies.

I wrote this poem (Everyday) about this time last year, for a girl, Jana, who makes me feel all tingly inside to say the least. enjoy :)
Everyday,
I do regret
through all this time
we have not met
but even so
I want to say
trying not to
scare you away, this is how I feel
I cant understand
why I feel like I do
All I can hope you say,
is, you like me too
Sometimes I want to hear your voice
so your number i start to dial,
I wait to call, and think a bit
but hang up after after a while
I know you don't feel for me
the way i feel for you
But every time I see your smile
I cant help smiling too.
I tell myself, stop wishing
about what you'll never get
I just cant help thinking,
don't you dare stop yet
Your Beautiful eyes
I've yet to see
but its easy to imagine
just you and me
Yet, I'm only dreaming dreams
knowing that they'll never be
So i carry on with life,
wondering,
if you have thoughts of me.
The poem is about unrequited love, and if you can relate, it aint a good feeling, cause its painful having to see this person, to think about them, and talk to them and know you don't have a hope in hells chance.
But here's a secret, "The Lollipop Theory" is bullshit.

There is no such word as never, if there is ever something/someone that you want more than anything, something that applies to this theory, something that you might think is too good for you, its not. Go get it, cause you deserve it, you deserve everything you want, if you're willing.
So don't let anyone ever tell you somethings out of your reach, because its not.
The only time ever, that never applies,
is the day you give up on dreaming your dreams!
I gave her the poem and she couldn't believe I felt that way, but nothing changed, we're still good friends and nothing more yet, even though there's still that special sparkle in my eye for her. I haven't ever given up on the dream and neither should you. Don't be afraid to take a chance, stop wishing and do something about it, if ever you get the feeling you wanna talk to them, Do it! and tell them whats going on inside!
and who knows, maybe your or my dream of being with her, may come true.
